Right now I am typing to the beat of the Ting Tings -That's Not My Name. Music is a big part of my creative process. I often will hear a new song on the radio and get some grand idea about the idea in the song can translate into fabric. Some days I am in a Ting Tings mood others I am a definitely Celtic music freak.
Right now my favorite new band is The Jane Dear Girls. I love the girl power and auto tune in country music. if you know me I usually hate auto tune. But Kanye won me over on that one. If used right it is pretty palatable.
This is all a big cycle of life for me. I am that 30-ish girl who remembers tippy-toeing to reach the top of our wood paneled console stereo with a Beatles 8-track tape in hand. My dad says it was always the Beatles or Hank Williams Jr. My life has a definite sound track. the sound waves have found their way from my ears to my fingers and I created the Just press play line of pinafores. Tell me what you think ans I will send you a prize.
