Michael's Baptism

I wanted to catch you all up on the fall and holidays. After going to NY and learning so much good info on marketing I began revamping my shop. I have been focused on getting the word out and fleshing out my business. Unfortunately that meant I was focusing mostly on the shop blog. So here I am to update you on our Balmanno brood.

Michael my youngest turned 8 last year. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints we do not have infant baptism and we believe that once you are 8 you pretty much know right from wrong and thus are ready to make the decision to be baptised. Also every male member of our church can hold the Priesthood if they follow our faith. His date was set for early Dec. (don't worry I will fill you in on Halloween and Thanksgiving soon).   Michael was so excited about it. He wanted his dad to baptise him, they even practiced a little before the actual ordinance.

 I will admit to channeling my mom she taught me how to wrangle a crowd for pictures.

Afterward we all came over to our home to have a light lunch. Everyone brought something and we grazed for a while. It was nice to have our big family there for Michael. That is what everything is about.

A day like this one was not complete with out a sword fight to wrap it all up.
